UK law states that persons under the age of 18 are prohibited from using UV tanning equipment or entering any rooms containing UV tanning equipment.
If you are lucky enough to look under 21, we will ask you for proof of age in store before we will allow you to use UV tanning equipment. Please don’t be offended if you are asked, this is for your safety. This would need to be photo ID in the form of a passport, driving license or PASS card and include a date of birth.
We use a simple scale to classify your skin so we can work out the best tanning program to suit you.
You can ask instore for one of our Skin Type Scales which takes just a couple of minutes to fill in, a tanning consultant can help you complete this if needed.
The length of your tanning session varies depending on your skin type and UV exposure history.
If you haven't used a sunbed before, we will allow you to use the minimum session which is 3 minutes. This is to gauge your skins response to UV exposure. From this we will be able to determine a tanning program that suits your skin, and gradually build up the session time accordingly.
However, if you have used sunbeds before, one of our tanning consultants will ask you a series of questions to make sure the correct sunbed session is provided.
Sunbed eye protection is a must for every tanning session. It can take only a single tanning session to damage a tanner’s eyesight, therefore it must be protected as best as possible. In the same way that looking into the sun can negatively impact your vision in both the long and short term, this is the same for sunbeds. It is not worth the risk.
Keeping the skin cells hydrated directly helps to create the look of a radiant glow. Drink plenty of water and moisturise daily.
Following these tips will ensure a longer-lasting tan and you will be getting the most out of your tanning session at Leveche Tanning & Beauty.
Tanning lotions are proven to have a stark affect on your tanning ability. They have been designed to rejuvenate and repair your skin, keeping it in better condition. Healthy skin allows you to tan faster, ensures your tan lasts for longer and gives you a better colour. The vitamins and minerals added can also help to combat the ageing process. By using a tanning lotion, the tanning process is sped up, meaning you save both time and money on tanning sessions to get the same (or even better) results.
Dry skin reflects light, meaning that your tan will be less effective and will need to spend more time tanning to get the same results. Not using a tanning lotion will also lead to drying skin, collagen loss and a loss of elasticity in the skin, overall giving a dull, unhealthy appearance.
All sunbed courses that are purchased full price are valid for 12 months.
